Fifty Shades Darker (Fifty Shades, #2)Fifty Shades Darker by E.L. James
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The saga continues…

Christian and Anastasia parted ways on bad terms. BUT, it would seem they have each become obsessed with the other. This mutual obsession brings them back together very early in the book. Christian and Anastasia both grow as individuals which helps the relationship take a turn in a much-needed healthy direction. Anastasia now has a better understanding of what her limits are. Christian decides what is more important to him; his dark needs/desires or his relationship with Anastasia.

This installment in the series moves at a slower pace than the first one for good reasons. This book has more character development and the overall story has an underlying depth which adds meaning to everything that has happened before and what is to come. You get more background story on Christian and how that has formed him into the person you don’t know if you want to cheer for or throw rocks at. This book gives you hope that Anastasia and Christian’s relationship has hope for surviving.
