Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1)Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Where to begin???

First and foremost, if you read this one you have to commit up front to reading the other two books in the series to get the complete story. Here’s why…This book is not your typical mainstream boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love and live happily ever after kind of romance. It is dark, compulsive, and it takes you on a journey to the outer limits of what is socially acceptable sexuality.

Christian has enough issues for several people who are in desperate need of some hardcore therapy AND meds. Anastasia on the other hand could not be more insecure. Together they embark on what can only be called an unhealthy, whirlwind, love/hate relationship that boggles the mind. As the story progresses you see how they have the potential to bring out the best in each other or to leave the other person completely decimated.

The story moves at an unrealistic pace but you can’t help but be riveted to the story and helpless to do anything other than keep reading to see what happens.
