A Perfect Storm (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor, #4)A Perfect Storm by Lori Foster
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Meet Arizona and Spencer. For those who have read the previous books in ‘The Men who walk the edge of Honor’ series you have met Arizona and are slightly familiar with her troubled past. She was the victim of human traffickers and rescued by Jackson Savor, main character of the previous installment Savor the Danger. We do not get a lot of details about her time with the traffickers. Instead the book focuses on her life afterward which is where Spencer Lark comes in to play.

Spencer’s tie to the trafficking world prevalent in the series is through his wife who was killed by traffickers when she tried to interrupt a kidnapping.

Through their varied interactions, Arizona finds that she trusts Spencer for some inexplicable reason so she ends up breaking into his house. Believe or not this sets up the beginning of their romantic involvement. The two main problems are that Spencer wants to ‘help’ Arizona relieve the burden of her past and Arizona feels she has a right to do whatever it takes to help bring down traffickers. Over the course of the book Spencer realizes that he is not helping Arizona get over her past but rather she is helping him move past the tragedy of losing his wife.

If you have read the other books in the series this is a great addition and all of your favorite characters make an appearance.
