Daring to Dream: The Dream Trilogy #1Daring to Dream: The Dream Trilogy #1 by Nora Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Daring to Dream is the first installment of Nora Robert’s Dream Trilogy. In this book, the focus is on Margo Sullivan. Margo is the only daughter of the housekeeper at Templeton House. The Templetons are a wealthy family who own a chain of upscale hotels mainly in America and Europe. In spite of being the housekeeper’s daughter, the Templetons encourage their daughter Laura and cousin Kate to be friends with Margo. Having been a part of the Templetons’ opulent lifestyle as a child Margo decided she wanted that for herself as an adult and seeks to get it with her best asset, her beauty, by becoming a model. At eighteen she leaves the only home she knows and strikes out to accomplish her dream. Ten years later she is forced to return after being ruined by a scandal that was the result of the numerous bad decisions she had made.

Margo now has to pick up the pieces of her life and figure out what to do to support herself. Laura’s brother, Josh, gives Margo the idea to open a store to sell her belongings to help get rid of her mounting debt. Unbeknownst to Josh or Margo, but they have both had a crush on each other since they were kids. However, both have been living transient lives for over a decade and neither really knows how to have a real relationship and be in love.

Once again, Nora Roberts proves why she is a bestselling author by giving us characters we can love. The character development of the main characters gives you a real feel of each other their personalities. The pace of the book keeps the reader interested by giving you enough detail, drama, and romance to keep you turning the pages. I am definitely looking forward to the next two installments to find out more about Kate and Laura and also to hopefully check-in on Margo and Pretenses.
